Description
During World War Two, the American forces find themselves under attack by advanced super-weapons of the Axis - the atomic super-subs, the purple death ray, the Japanese robots and rocket ships. In this time of need, America calls upon its greatest superhero, the Yellow Jacket, a man whose seemingly limitless determination and stupidity (a dangerous combination) spreads chaos and destruction in the name of peace and democracy. But his mission may prove more difficult than expected. Japan has sent its most diabolical super-agent to thwart our hero, the deadly Dragonfly. In an epic battle that spans the globe, the two archenemies square off, with countless innocent lives in the balance. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the Yellow Jacket, the Axis have made an unholy alliance with the sinister Monarch of the Moon, whose secret intent is to invade the Earth and strip it of all its natural resources. Americas greatest hero is the only thing that stands between the Monarch and his treacherous goal. Overcoming impossible odds, the superhero fights on, spouting patriotic mumbo-jumbo as darkness covers the land.
Monarch of the Moon is a satire of the cinematic serials of the 30s and 40s, but its also a rip-roarin adventure. The many retro-futuristic gadgets, weapons and ships are a feast for the eyes, and the people involved in this film obviously had a ball making it. Special mention should be made of the fine performance by Kimberly Page as Dragonfly. She hits all her marks in this humorous look at the clich villains of yesterday. This movie is pure entertainment, mixing lots of laughs with appealing eye-candy. So return now to those thrilling days of yesteryear! Experience thrills, chills and spills as the fate of the world hangs in the balance! See the exotic dance of the Moon Maidens and the wonders of the lost South American pyramid! Witness the fury of the Moons evil ruler! You dont want to miss the latest exciting chapter!—Robert Guillemette
