Feature Films : Tribute to Akio Jissoji 1937-2006 - Arthouse Ultraman 2: Ultraman and Silver Mask
 Following the success of last year’s Arthouse Ultraman -- which featured more adult, artistic offerings from the beloved Japanese franchise – Fantasia has selected more of the unusual episodes from the director who gave us the highly imaginative Butterfly Dream. Akio Jissoji, who regrettably passed away in November, 2006, was the architect of some of the most unique episodes of the original Ultraman (1966-67) and Ultraseven (1967-68) series. His contribution to the feature film Ten Nights of Dreams (also at Fantasia this year) and his reimagining of the nostalgic series Silver Mask close a most prolific career. Even among his peers, he was considered a genius in the realm of fantasy. He will be sorely missed.
