From Stuntman to Game Designer
With PHILIPPE THERIEN, Ubisoft Montreal
3:00pm, Friday July 24th 2009 at the J.A. De Sève Theatre
It all began while he was working as a stuntman on genre movie shootings, that Philippe had his first contact with the video game industry: he was approached by Ubisoft, to act as an external consultant on the game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield (2003). In addition to his work on The Matrix Online and Naruto : Rise of a Ninja, he illustrated himself as game designer on the popular franchise Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, on games such as Black Arrow, Lockdown, Vegas and Vegas 2 (2008). His presentation will be about the experiences he had on the projects he participated to and the unusual trail he followed to reach this profession.—KRISTOF G.
