INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS BY QUENTIN TARANTINO
TO CLOSE THIS YEAR'S FANTASIA

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS by Quentin Tarantino, the latest
sensation at the 2009 Cannes Festival and one of the most awaited films of the year, will be
closing Fantasia's 13th edition. This very special screening is organized in collaboration with
Alliance Vivafilm and is scheduled for 9:45 pm on July 29th 2009 at the Concordia Hall
Theater. Eli Roth, one of the film's main actors, will be the festival's special guest at this
screening.

This special presentation of INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS at Fantasia is a wonderful gift that
we wish to offer to our audience and to Montreal and we wish to thank Alliance Vivafilm, the
Weinstein Company and of course Quentin Tarantino for believing in our festival as well as
for their enthusiasm, says Pierre Corbeil, president of the festival. An incredible way to end
this year's festival of which we are all very proud.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is set during World War II and tells the story of a group of
Jewish American soldiers known as 'The Basterds' trained to carry out high risk precision
missions. They team up with a German actress in order to assassinate Third Reich leaders.
The film, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, stars Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers,
Michael Fassbenderr, Diane Kruger, Daniel Bruhl, Til Schweiger, Melanie Laurent, B.J. Novak
and Samm Levine.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is scheduled for release in theaters on August 21st.
