Felix & Paul Studios presents the following three VR experiences:

The park is open. JURASSIC WORLD: APATOSAURUS invites the viewer to experience what it’s like to be in the presence and close proximity of a living dinosaur – with the mixture of awe, striking beauty and danger that this implies.

HERDERS (7 min.)
HERDERS is a cinematic virtual reality observational journey that bears witness to the lives of nomadic yak herders in Mongolia.

A cinematic 3D virtual reality experience in 360 degrees the welcomes the viewer into a priceless moment with the Montreal singer and musician Patrick Watson, in his studio on a winter’s day.

CFC Media Lab invites the filmmaking community to learn about and discover the grammar and language of VR storytelling. Working with a collective of game designers, visual effects aficionados, storytellers, 3D modellers, real-time interface designers, filmmakers and visual artists, otherwise known as OCCUPIED VR, CFC Media Lab is producing the VR Sketches Series, an ongoing investigation into today’s VR storytelling form. The series will present its first three works in an intimate interactive setting where filmmakers -- and anyone interested in learning about interactive storytelling -- can experience them and discuss where VR can take filmmaking. The CFC Media Lab VR Sketches Series features:

An experience that showcases 3D positional audio as we contextualize the place of VR in media and communications.

An intimate moment with Canadian skateboarder, DEVIN. The experience displays the use of high-resolution 3D 360-degree filmmaking.

An experience that provides a glimpse of the future of VR: watch a person transition from the real to the synthetic with the use of photo real 3D scanning.

Body/Mind/Change Redux, the complete digital extension of TIFF’s exhibition David Cronenberg: Evolution, immerses audiences in a “Cronenbergian” world inspired by the film VIDEODROME, re-imagined for the 21st century and brought to life with Oculus Rift. Produced by CFC Media Lab, in co-production with TIFF, and starring David Cronenberg, BODY/MIND/CHANGE REDUX viscerally places you in the world of Cronenberg through virtual reality.

Jimmy Lee

Sid Lee Collective is a formalized program giving Sid Lee employees a chance to realize their personal creative projects by financing, producing, and showcasing them. It’s this initiative that allowed the creation of this nightmarish universe from which you literally won’t be able to look away from. Jimmy Lee proposes the following scary VR experience:

11 : 57
Sid Lee Collective — in a joint effort with Jimmy Lee — offers a terrifyingly immersive 360° experience in their new virtual reality horror short film called 11:57. In 11:57, you embody a character at the heart of horrific events in a nightmare in which you can scream, but you can’t look away.
