The Frontières International Co-Production Market connects North America and Europe with a specific focus on genre film.
Established in 2012 at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Frontières has become an essential networking destination for industry professionals seeking to stimulate the co-production and co-financing of genre films. The Frontières International Co-Production Market is made possible thanks to the generous support of its major partners: Creative Europe, Telefilm Canada, and SODEC.
In 2017 Frontières will be launching a new partnership with the Marché du Film-Festival de Cannes. The partnership will include a co-presentation of a new annual initiative, the Finance & Packaging Forum, which will take place in a different European location each February; in addition to dedicated networking activities for the genre film community in Cannes at the Marché du Film.
For each edition, we select projects in development that represent innovation and new perspectives in genre film, from both emerging and established filmmakers. Through one-on-one meeting sessions, consulting services, workshops, panels, and networking cocktails, Frontières provides an ideal opportunity to establish significant connections with a wide range of seasoned industry professionals from across North America and Europe.
