In July of 2012, the Fantasia International Film Festival will celebrate its 16th edition. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, Fantasia is a cultural and professional destination point, and since its first edition in 1996, the festival’s ever-growing popularity has attracted the attention of the international film industry alongside a legion of attendees from across the world. Every facet of the filmmaking chain is represented with in-person delegates at the festival: directors, actors, producers, studio representatives and distributors, who get to experience their films with its legendarily enthusiastic, taste-making audience.
Fantasia is at the vanguard of international genre cinema, thanks to its distinct programming, its prominent media coverage and the record-breaking attendance by passionate film fans. Over 100,000 festival-goers attended Fantasia in 2011, and the festival has attracted over a million spectators over its duration.
Our partnership with Fantasia allowed us to reach both film lovers as DVD buyers and deploy during the festival an effective promotion with results reaching beyond expectations

Events like this one bolster the entire industry
No wonder the world’s film journalists focus on what has become the largest North-American event of its kind
Few cultural events can trigger the intense satisfaction that accompanies The Fantasia International Film festival. An enthralling maelstrom of genre films, this celebratory cinematic gathering exercises an atypical power of attraction that extends the city’s radiance well beyond its borders.
The Fantasia film festival offers an unprecedented promotional opportunity for reaching loyal, enthusiastic, educated adult consumers. This powerful and unique opportunity guarantees high visibility, not only among Fantasia’s large and sought-after audience but also through a targeted provincial and national advertising campaign.
Fantasia’s official program is composed of more than 380 color pages printed on glossy paper. In 2011, more than 140 advertisers and sponsors, many of which have been with us since the earliest edition, have taken advantage of this advertising opportunity. The program is on sale for $5.00 (suggested retail price) throughout Québec, available in chains such as HMV and SuperClub Vidéotron, and includes a DVD of the trailers of films presented during the festival as well as our sponsors’ publicity spots.

Faced with the profusion of what the Fantasia Festival has to offer, it only remains to let oneself be guided randomly from screening to screening, into a visibly thriving cinematic world.
At the moment, [Fantasia is] Montreal's most dynamic festival, striking a real chord with the specialized people from around the world.
Fantasia certainly has no reason to envy any other Montreal festival.
(...) the festival has grown into one of the world’s largest genre film fests (...). Fantasia has without a doubt become one of Montreal’s premiere events.
A world-class event where one can see the most talked-about titles from the international film festival circuit, as well as discover obscure curiosities from the next generation of cinema greats. It's hard to imagine a Montreal summer without Fantasia

I think it’s the most unbelievable film festival that I’ve ever been to. What a great opportunity for filmmakers to show their work. I’m thrill about this festival. I truly am.
For me Fantasia is the best genre film festival in the world, and it holds some of my dearest memories. Every screening at Fantasia is a special event, the crowds are rabid for films and each screening is like a rock concert.
