After losing his father at a young age in a terrible accident, Yong-hu (Park Seo-jun) abandons his Christian faith and chooses to only believe in himself. Now as an adult, Yong-hu is a champion fighter and has everything he has ever wanted, that is until mysterious wounds appear in the palms of his hands. He solicits help from a local priest Father Ahn (Ahn Sung-ki), hoping the priest can help relieve him of the painful markings, only to find himself in the middle of a dangerous fight against otherworldly evil forces seeking to wreak havoc on the human world.

What more could one hope for than an action movie featuring mixed martial arts, mashed up with horror in the form of hair-raising exorcisms and demons dead-set on harming the whole of humanity? The director and screenwriter Kim Joo-hwan (MIDNIGHT RUNNERS) has managed to join these two genres brilliantly, concocting a spectacular feature film with amazing special effects, one that never lets go and keeps the suspense cranked up high until the very end. On top of that, THE DIVINE FURY features a panoply of actors with undeniable talent. Rising stars Park Seo-jun (Bong Joon-ho's recent Cannes Palme d'Or grabber PARASITE), Woo Do-hwan (winner of two acting awards for the TV series TEMPTED and MAD DOG) and Choi Woo-sik (PARASITE, THE WITCH: PART 1. THE SUBVERSION) share the screen with veteran Ahn Sung-ki (SILMIDO, ARAHAN, THE DIVINE WEAPON), who excels once again in the role of Father Ahn. With its epic battles that see a champion fighter decking demons with powerhouses punches, THE DIVINE FURY is solid entertainment that will raise the adrenaline level to perilous peaks at Fantasia! Do not miss this! – Translation: Rupert Bottenberg
