Dream Factory is an experimental short, exploring the historical role of cinemas as cruising sites, as well as the role of nostalgia and fetish when navigating queer history, cultural memory, and the tactility of the past. Given how cruising and porno-cinemas have become scarce within a gentrified and digital landscape, the film hopes to recover these public intimacies - moments of physical connection and abandon - while reviving cinema’s ghosts in a spectacle of gender and genre confusion.
