On an environmentally degraded planet, a dystopian society of anthropomorphic swine compels participation in a dreadful collective ritual. Under the stern gaze of the priestly class, the ordinary pigs on the cusp of adulthood are selected for one of two purposes. Some will become labourers. The others will sacrifice themselves to nourish those who remain. Commissioned by Taiwan’s National Human Rights Museum, a science-fiction nightmare in cartoon form, imagined by Fantasia regular Fish Wang. – Rupert Bottenberg
