This programme looks at the theme of belonging from different points of view. Here are short descriptions of three of the films, to give you an idea. A number of others round off this programme, which is well worth the diversion!
Living on a shoestring budget in Montreal, a Vietnamese mother has to act in bad faith to assert her right to buy 12 discount laundry detergents that she was refused at a grocery shop. Wanting to distance himself from his skinhead past, Max joins the Northern Sentinels, a group that helps the homeless. The Sentinels' social activities soon reveal an even darker agenda. In a restaurant, Joe complains to Paul about the lack of space in his life. Suddenly, the restaurant becomes a café, a therapist's office, and an interrogation room as Joe reveals the horrible thing he did to bring peace back into his life.
