From Sweden, hitting like a most ironic hammer, we have Björn Schagerström’s inspired black comedy HEADACHE. A man (Torkel Petersson) who works for a futureworld pharmaceutical corporation that houses its employees like citizens of its own prison-like community, finds himself transferred into a new, uniquely more demanding department. Sharply directed and designed, very funny, and so amazingly deadpan venomous, HEADACHE is evocative of Gilliam’s best by way old school Eastern European sci-fi cautionary tales, told with a wonderfully Swedish sensibility that will win you over with a vengeance. – Mitch Davis
